Overview
PolyVinyl Butyral Film(PVB film) is also known as PVB interlayer. Its essence is a thermoplastic resin film, which is produced from PVB resin plus plasticizer. Since it is produced from plastic resin, it has the characteristics of recyclable processing and reusability. The appearance is translucent film, no impurities, smooth surface, with a certain roughness and good softness, with the adhesion of inorganic glass, transparent, heat resistance, cold resistance, moisture resistance and high mechanical strength characteristics.
General properties
Product name:Polyvinyl butyral film
Melting point:165℃-185°C
Water solubility:Insoluble
Applications
PVB film can be widely used in building laminated glass, automotive laminated glass, solar photovoltaic glass, bulletproof glass, soundproof glass, etc. It has good safety and prevents the glass from being broken due to external force and debris splashing and injuring people. In addition, it has UV protection, can be made into color or high transparency, and has optical application value such as the application of solar photovoltaics. PVB film has been used in building curtain wall glass for 70 years, and in the regulations of automotive and construction industry,PVB film is required for safety protection.
